Young Artists EMERGE on Friday

The summer has swiftly been passing us by. I was happy to realize that the Company dancers will be back in Milwaukee in just over a month to start our season. However I'm ecstatic to see one of my favorite annual performances from Milwaukee Ballet School return on July 31--EMERGENCE 2009.

EMERGENCE is a performance from 150 pre-professional dancers from three nations and 20 states participating in Milwaukee Ballet's annual Summer Intensive program. The show is packed with original, classical and contemporary choreography all at the beautiful Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts in Brookfield. Special thanks to Jefferson Wells and Cedar Street Advisors for their support of this performance.

I urge everyone to check out this show because I can guarantee that many of these young dancers will be making a career out of ballet for themselves very soon. And local audiences may even see a few join the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II program for the coming season.

Congratulations to all of our students in Milwaukee Ballet's 2009 Summer Intensive program. Your wise investment will benefit you in so many ways that one would never expect.
