Originally from Madison, Wisconsin, Justin Genna trained at Monona Academy of Dance under the direction of Jo Jean Retrum and Jason Cisler. Genna studied with the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II Program for two years before being hired into the Company. While dancing at Milwaukee Ballet, he has performed the roles of Jacks, Drosselmeyer and Arabian in The Nutcracker, as well as Gentleman Starkey in Michael Pink’s world premiere of Peter Pan and Dr. Van Helsing in Michael Pink's Dracula. He has also worked with choreographers such as Val Caniparoli (Gustav’s Rooster, Blades of Grass - world premiere), Maurice Causey (city of the shining jewel - world premiere), Mauro de Candia (Something I Had in Mind - world premiere, Purple Fools - world premiere). This is his fifth season with Milwaukee Ballet.
