Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Rachel Malehorn received her formal training at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and continued on to graduate from the prestigious Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II program. As part of the Northwest Professional Dance Project, Ms. Malehorn worked with choreographers including Lucas Crandall, Sarah Slipper, Robert Moses, Septime Webre, Lauri Stallings and Thaddeus Davis. Since joining the Company, Ms. Malehorn has enjoyed performing works choreographed by Trey McIntyre, Michael Pink, Stephen Mills, Bruce Wells, Anthony Tudor, Adam Hougland, Margo Sappington, Maurice Causey and Val Caniparoli, as well as feature roles created for her by Petr Zahradnícek, Viktor Plotnikov, Nelly Von Bommel and Mark Godden. Additionally Ms. Malehorn participates in the Arts in the Community Education program, which brings ballet into local elementary schools. This is Ms. Malehorn’s fourth season with the Company.
