Froedtert Sports Medicine and Milwaukee Ballet II
Milwaukee Ballet greatly appreciates the services of the Froedtert and Medical College Sports Medicine Center, a provider of sports medicine services for numerous athletic organizations throughout Milwaukee, including the Milwaukee Brewers, and also generously donates their services to Milwaukee Ballet and the Milwaukee Ballet II Program.
The Sports Medicine Center has physicians who are fellowship-trained in Sports Medicine. The staff contains specialists in orthopedic surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, as well as family and community medicine. In the unfortunate event of an injury, the Froedtert Staff aids dancers in their recovery. Using the latest equipment and treatment techniques, physical therapists focus on getting the young dancers back into shape and back into rehearsals at an appropriate time.
All of the services of Froedtert Sports Medicine are donated. Any additional expenses related to an Milwaukee Ballet II injury (i.e. x-rays, ambulance cost) are covered by Travelers Insurance, Milwaukee Ballet’s Worker’s Comp Insurance carrier.
In addition to the services listed above, Milwaukee Ballet’s primary care doctors at Froedtert, Dr. William Raasch and Dr. Craig Young, will perform both pre and post season physicals in an effort to promote good preventative medicine and to stress the importance of excellent overall health.
