Company members participate in 2nd Annual Spring to Dance Festival May 21-23

MILWAUKEE - May 18, 2009 - Milwaukee Ballet's season may have ended with Live and Kicking, but the dancing doesn't stop. Milwaukee Ballet is one of 30 companies converging this weekend in St. Louis for the second annual Spring to Dance Festival. The festival includes three action-packed nights with a variety of programs ranging from ballet and contemporary dance to hip-hop and tap. The Spring to Dance Festival runs May 21-23 at the Touhill Performing Arts Center at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.

Milwaukee Ballet Company leading artists Luz San Miguel, Patrick Howell and Douglas McCubbin will perform Don't Touch at 7:30 p.m. on May 21. Artistic Director Michael Pink is accompanying the dancers. Don't Touch premiered March 23-26, 2006 in Milwaukee Ballet at The Pabst. Choreographed by Michael Pink, Don't Touch was created in celebration of Milwaukee artist Schomer Lichtner on the occasion of his 101st birthday.

In addition to Milwaukee Ballet, Chicago's Giordano Jazz Dance, Nashville Ballet, Philadelphia's BalletX and Saint Louis Ballet are among the many nationally renowned companies participating in Spring to Dance Festival.
