Gabrielle Lamb is a New York-based choreographer and performer, as well as a self-taught filmmaker and animator. She was a winner of the 2009 National Choreographic Competition of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago; and her dance works for stage and screen have been presented by Hubbard Street 2, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Dance on Camera at Lincoln Center and the American Dance Festival. Her work has also screened on the Bravo and ARTV networks (Canada) as well as at dance film festivals in Australia, Belgium, Argentina, France and Japan.

Last year she was Artist-In-Residence at Mystic Ballet (Connecticut) and Motion Dance+Theater (Asheville, NC) and was invited to present her work at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. In 2013, she will have the honor of creating a new works for Milwaukee Ballet, BalletX (Philadelphia) and SUNY Purchase, as well as premiering a new collaborative short film based on the urban obstacle course practice of Parkour.
 
Ms. Lamb is a native of Savannah, Georgia, and was trained at the Boston Ballet School. She joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal in 2000 and was promoted to soloist in 2003. In 2009, she was invited by choreographer Christopher Wheeldon to join his company Morphoses in New York City.  Her repertoire as a performer also includes principal roles in works by George Balanchine, Jiri Kylian, Mats Ek, Ohad Naharin, Nacho Duato, Luca Veggetti, Shen Wei, Pontus Lidberg and Shannon Gillen.    www.gabriellelamb.com
