Performing for the first time in 20 years!
Full of humor, mystery and romance, Coppélia is the story of a life-size doll that magically comes to life and attracts the attention of a local villager so entranced by its beauty that his wife-to-be must impersonate the doll in order to win back his love. Wild chaos erupts, but in the end all is forgiven. This light-hearted performance is perfect for first-time ballet goers, families and everyone in between.
The Company and dancers from the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II seamlessly perform Coppélia’s technical choreography in a production adorned with gorgeous costumes, colorful scenery, and Léo Delibes’ classic score performed live by the Milwaukee Ballet Orchestra. Milwaukee native and veteran actor Daniel Mooney joins the Company as a special guest artist for this production.
The family event of the spring!
