This dramatic story ballet, inspired by Victor Hugo’s classic novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame, was performed in 2004. Six years later Artistic Director Michael Pink revisits the show with new twists, choreography and lighting, while staying true to Hugo's original novel. The story’s emotionally-charged performance follows Esmeralda, an alluring gypsy trapped at the center of tension between the church, government and common people in 15th century Paris. The suspenseful story and highly-theatrical performance features period costumes and scenery designed by Tony Award winner Lez Brotherston, drynamic new lighting from Emmy Award winner David Grill (Peter Pan, Cinderella), and Philip Feeney’s (Peter Pan, Dracula) dramatic score. Dancers from Milwaukee Ballet II join the Company in this thrilling show.
This performance is best enjoyed by patrons age ten and older.
