Celebrate Michael Pink’s 10th Anniversary with Milwaukee Ballet
Make a gift by May 6 to have your name in PINK included in the final program book of the season!
Michael Pink has taken our staff, artists and audiences to new heights over the past ten years, but Milwaukee Ballet is built on the strong foundation of support from donors like you. This year, Milwaukee Ballet will celebrate Michael Pink’s 10th anniversary season.
By contributing to our annual campaign, which represents 49% of our revenue each year, you will bring guest choreographers from around the globe to Milwaukee for Genesis: International Choreographic Competition and help reach thousands of children through our community outreach programs. A gift to the annual fund will not only honor this special 2012-13 season. It will ensure that Milwaukee sustains one of the most beautiful and inspiring of the performing arts.
Enjoy the benefits of becoming a Milwaukee Ballet supporter with a gift to the annual fund. All increases in giving, (we suggest 10% for Michael’s 10 years!) will be generously matched by Donna and Donald Baumgartner, up to $100,000. PLUS, your increased gift of $250+ will feature your name in PINK in all series programs.
§
Donna and Donald Baumgartner have generously committed to match Michael Pink’s 10th anniversary tribute gifts and Pink Society memberships up to $100,000
The Baumgartners have been dedicated subscribers and benefactors of Milwaukee Ballet since the 1980’s. In 1989, Donna joined the Board of Directors and continues her Board service today. Over the years, the Baumgartners have supported the production of a number of major works, including Galileo, Giselle, Dracula, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Pure Dance, in addition to their commitment to Ballet special events. Their generosity of spirit, resources and time have benefitted the visual and performing arts in Milwaukee along with numerous arts organizations across the country. They have holistically supported Michael Pink’s vision for ballet in Milwaukee and should be applauded for the impact they continue to have on this community.

What Your Gift Supports
The Professional Company
The lifeblood of the arts, and dance in particular, is the creation of new work; especially important for its capacity to attract new and divergent audiences. With Michael Pink’s guidance, Milwaukee Ballet has amassed a repertoire rich in ground-breaking contemporary new works, as well as traditional classics performed by our international artists.
Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II Program
The vital force that drives the success of our community outreach programs, Milwaukee Ballet II dancers perform their own repertoire in addition performing with the Company throughout the season. The MBII program has developed into one of the strongest training companies in the nation.
Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy
The only fully accredited non-university dance school in the Midwest, Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy teaches discipline, focus and confidence to over 1,000 students annually. Many children receive financial aid or tuition forgiveness with funds raised by the Ballet’s volunteer-run Boutique and endowed scholarship funds.
Milwaukee Ballet Community Outreach
Relevé and ResiDANCE are two of Milwaukee Ballet’s strongest community outreach programs. With long lasting impact, these programs go beyond a mere introduction to the art form of ballet; they bring art to life for kids in underserved schools. Outreach programs reach 25,000 children and adults each year and include travelling performances, workshops and dance immersion programs.
