Children's Division

Ages 3-6

Placement in Children’s Division is based on the student’s age as of September 1 of the current school year. All children must be fully toilet trained and comfortable entering the classroom without an adult.

Teacher assistants will be scheduled as needed based on social distancing and capacity requirements.

Creative Movement, Age 3

Creative Movement introduces elements of dance with a professional instructor in a studio environment. Based on creativity, musicality, and imagination, students gain awareness of elements of dance before entering the Pre-Ballet program. Classes meet once weekly.

Pre-Ballet I, Age 4

Students develop body and simple muscle awareness, strengthen locomotor skills, and are introduced to basic ballet posture and some technique. Classes meet once per week.

More complex loco motor movements within the classical posture help students gain knowledge of personal directions and basic musicality. Classes meet once per week.

More emphasis is placed on right and left, pointed feet, and straight legs within the classical posture and discipline. Upon completion of Pre-Ballet III, students should be prepared to start formal ballet training in Ballet I. Classes meet once per week.
