What’s the ballet about?

Ballet-in-a-Box: Episode 4— The Corps of 4 and Ballerina Karina  in Solid Gold! The superheroes are back! Everyone in Danceopolis is preparing for King Louis XIV’s golden gala extravaganza, but when the superheroes realize he wants to perform his greatest hits from the past, they see some problems. When King Louis was a young lad, only boys were allowed to dance ballet—and only those who were members of his elite court. Major Jump and the Pirouette Threat see the perfect opportunity to use their time machine and make some changes for the better. Milwaukee Ballet turns a gym, library, or community center into a theatre complete with a marley floor, a sound system, costumes, and the MBII dancers.

With gratitude, Ballet-in-a-Box is supported by Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Einhorn Family Foundation, The Gardner Foundation, Charles D. Ortgiesen Foundation, Jane Bradley Pettit Foundation, Gene and Ruth Posner Foundation, Stackner Family Foundation, Paula M. Steiner Family Foundation.
