Surprise! We can turn a gym, library, or community center into a theater, complete with special dance flooring, a sound system, costumes and the Milwaukee Ballet II dancers. It’s most appropriate for grades Pre-K through 8 and will incorporate Common Core State Standards. Ballet-in-a-Box costs $750. Price is increased for after school hours, weekends, or when shows are further than 45 minutes from the Baumgartner Center for Dance—call for details!

What’s the ballet about?

Ballet-in-a-Box: Episode 4— The Corps of 4 and Ballerina Karina in “Solid Gold”! The superheroes are back! Everyone in Danceopolis is preparing for King Louis XIV’s golden gala extravaganza, but when the superheroes realize he wants to perform his greatest hits from the past, they see some problems. When King Louis was a young lad, only boys in his elite court were allowed to dance ballet. Major Jump and the Pirouette Threat see the perfect opportunity to make some changes for the better.

This ballet promotes inclusivity and ballet history in a fun, interactive format. Great for ages 5 and up.

The talented artists of the Milwaukee Ballet II program perform classical and contemporary repertoire, focusing on the history of ballet as we celebrate Milwaukee Ballet’s 50th Anniversary!
