Milwaukee Ballet

Through structured classes and professional technique, we build a foundation that helps our students elevate both their art and their confidence to their highest potential. See how much they can gain on and off the stage at MBSA.
Placement in Children’s Division is based on the student’s age as of September 1 of the current school year.
All children in Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet levels must be fully toilet trained and comfortable entering the classroom without an adult.
Teacher assistants will be scheduled as needed based on social distancing and capacity requirements.
DANCE ALONG WITH ME, Ages 2-4
Try our new class, Dance Along with Me, designed as an introduction to dance for our littlest dancers. Students and their adult participate in this class together. Class sessions are typically 6 weeks long and designed for students ages 2-4.

Creative Movement, Age 3
Creative Movement introduces elements of dance with a professional instructor in a studio environment. Based on creativity, musicality, and imagination, students gain awareness of elements of dance before entering the Pre-Ballet program. Classes meet once weekly.

Pre-Ballet I, Age 4
Students develop body and simple muscle awareness, strengthen locomotor skills, and are introduced to basic ballet posture and some technique. Classes meet once per week.

More complex loco motor movements within the classical posture help students gain knowledge of personal directions and basic musicality. Classes meet once per week.

Pre-Ballet III, Age 6
More emphasis is placed on right and left, pointed feet, and straight legs within the classical posture and discipline. Upon completion of Pre-Ballet III, students should be prepared to start formal ballet training in Ballet I. Classes meet once per week.
