As we move closer to the Marcus Performing Arts Center this fall, we have updated our policies to ensure we can keep our audience members, artists, and staff safe and healthy.
This remains our top priority and has guided us to join the resident companies of Marcus Performing Arts Center , along with other performing arts organizations and venues across Milwaukee, in requiring COVID-19 vaccinations or proof of negative test within 72 hours of events for all patrons attending indoor performances.
Guests age 12 or older will be required to show either a proof of vaccination or a negative covid-19 test result.
All audience members must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status. Masks are required to be worn at all times while in the performance venue.
Guests under 12 years of age who are ineligible for vaccination are not required to show a negative test result. All guests must be able to wear a mask for the entirety of the performance.
What type of tests are accepted?
Tests must be from no more than 72 hours prior to the performance and issued by a medical provider or pharmacy. Tests must be either PCR or Antigen; at home tests will not be accepted.
We recommend scheduling your appointment at least two days prior to your 72-hour window as day-of availability is not guaranteed.
What is acceptable ID?
Negative tests and proof of vaccination must accompany a valid driver’s license, state-issued ID or school ID, if the patron is under 18.
Are masks required?
Yes, all audience members, regardless of age or vaccination status, must remain masked at all times. Milwaukee Ballet and Marcus Performing Arts Center employees, crew, and performers will also remain masked except while on stage.
What is required for children under 12?
Children under 12 years of age are not required to provide a negative COVID-19 test. They must remain masked at all times.
How does this impact youth programming and school matinees?
Traditional student matinee performances of The Nutcracker will not take place in 2021. More information on digital alternatives will be shared this fall.
All MBSA and Community Engagement programming requires individuals to be masked and socially distanced.
