For the first time ever, Milwaukee Ballet is offering a robust Pre-Professional Training Program led and created by Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy and Milwaukee Ballet II Director Rolando Yanes.
Intended for recent high school grads and high school students with alternative academic study options, the Pre-Professional Training Program offers daily intensive training to prepare young dancers for a second-company experience. The Pre-Professional Training Program educates, trains and prepares students for a career in professional dance.
9:00-10:00 | Pilates
10:15-12:00 | Ballet Technique
12:00-12:30 | Lunch Break
12:30-1:30 | Pointe or Men’s Class
1:30-2:30 | Partnering or Style Class
2:30-3:30 | Rehearsal
September – May | 9 monthly payments of $775
Includes all classes, rehearsals, all costumes and performance participation.
Financial assistance applications will be available starting June, 2019.
Students must secure their own housing, food, transportation, dance attire and shoes.
Students must be advanced level dancers in high school or post-high school. Ladies must have at least 4 years of intensive pointe training.
Current MBSA students must be recommended by MBSA Faculty. Students from outside MBSA will selected through the Summer Intensive Program Audition Tour and/or the Summer Intensive Program.

Milwaukee Ballet’s new headquarters, Baumgartner Center for Dance, will be a new two-story, 52,000-square-foot-facility located in the heart of Milwaukee’s Third Ward featuring seven state-of-the-art studios, lounges, and changing rooms for the company’s school students. There will also be larger, furnished waiting lounges and dressing rooms.
