Alana Griffith began training at the Los Angeles Ballet Academy under Andrea Paris-Gutierrez, where she completed all of her RAD vocational exams with distinction. At age 17, she moved to London to train at the English National Ballet School. In her graduating year, she was selected to work with the Company in Wayne Eagling’s The Nutcracker. The same season, Griffith toured England in Matthew Hart’s The Sleeping Beauty with English National Ballet II.
Griffith joined the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II Program in 2013. In 2014, she was promoted to the Company where she has worked with choreographers including Matthew Tusa, Timothy O’Donnell, Petr Zahradnícek, George Williamson, Mark Godden, Kathryn Posin, Kenneth Tindall, Val Caniparoli, Bruce Wells and Michael Pink.
Since joining the Company, she has been featured as the title character in Septime Webre’s ALICE (in Wonderland), Clara and Marie in Michael Pink’s The Nutcracker, Odette in Michael Pink’s Swan Lake, Helena in Bruce Wells’ A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Effie in La Sylphide (staged by Dinna Bjørn), Rapunzel in Michael Pink’s world premiere of Beauty and the Beast, Spring Fairy in Michael Pink’s Cinderella and Prayer Solo in Michael Pink’s Coppélia.
