Michael Rinderle was born in Minneapolis, MN but primarily grew up in Milwaukee, WI. He began his training at Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy and was then accepted into Canada’s National Ballet School. During his time there, he was exposed to a range of international teachers and dancers and went to the Royal Danish Ballet School and San Francisco Ballet School via exchange programs. Upon graduation, Rinderle was hired as an Apprentice dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, where he performed in works by John Neumeier, Christopher Wheeldon, and Robert Binet.
Rinderle then moved back to Milwaukee to join Milwaukee Ballet II, where he performed in works by Adam McKinney, Thom Dancy, and Kristopher Estes-Brown. He also danced alongside the Company in Michael Pink’s Coppélia and The Nutcracker, as well as Mariana Oliveira’s Pagliacci. Rinderle’s passion for different art mediums also led him to create painted set design for Timothy O’Donnell’s Sacre, as well as animated set design for Michael Pink’s revised The Nutcracker: Short & Sweet. Rinderle was recently promoted into the main Company for the 2021/22 Season.
