Originally from Flagstaff Arizona, Josiah Cook began training at the age of eight under Andrew Needhammer (ARAD). Upon completion of the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus, he attended The School of American Ballet where he studied under Kay Mazzo and Jock Soto. In 2015, he joined Cincinnati Ballet’s second company where he performed roles in Val Caniparoli’s Lady of the Camellias, Victoria Morgan’s Cinderella, and the Prince in Morgan’s The Nutcracker. As a member of the Nancy Einhorn Milwaukee Ballet II Program, Cook had the opportunity to dance in San Pleurer– an original work by Timothy O’Donnell as well as perform in Michael Pink’s Mirror Mirror, and The Nutcracker. Since joining Milwaukee Ballet in 2017, Cook has performed roles in Michael Pink’s La Boheme, was the original statue in Beauty and the Beast and performed the Spanish dance in Swan Lake. Additionally having the opportunity to dance in new works by both Garret Glassman and Timothy O’Donnell.
