2021/22 MBII Dancers

We are thrilled to welcome 20 talented young dancers to the Milwaukee Ballet II (MBII) program for what is sure to be a truly inspiring season!

Joining us are dancers from 14 different states and four countries including Columbia, Spain and Australia. Six dancers are returning MBII from the 2019/20 Season and six are recent graduates of the Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy Pre-Professional Program.

  • Carly Bartel

    Carly trained at Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy and in the Pre-Professional Program, as well as at the University of  North Carolina School of the Arts.  She attended Summer Intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Ballet West, and Milwaukee Ballet. 

    Carly was recipient of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Milwaukee Ballet Friends’ Schomer  Lichtner Scholarship. 

  • Jacqueline Bertault

    Jacqueline trained at School of Ballet Arizona, Scottsdale School of Ballet, Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower in France, Houston Ballet Academy, and Joffrey Ballet. She attended Summer Intensives at Paris Opera Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, and Houston Ballet Academy. She also participated in masterclasses in Prague and workshops in Marseilles, Barcelona, and Cannes. She was a guest performer with Ballet Nice Méditerranée.

    Jacqueline is pursuing her degree in psychology, with a global studies minor, at Arizona State University.

    Davíd trained at El Instituto Colombiano de Ballet Clásico (Incolballet). As company member, he performed overseas in China and Mexico. He attended Summer Intensives at Kansas School of Classical Ballet and Cuban National Ballet School.

  • Emma Everts

    Emma trained at California’s Orange City Dance Center and Westside School of Ballet. She attended Summer Intensives at Joffrey Ballet School in New York City, Ballet West, Milwaukee Ballet, and Oklahoma City Ballet.

    Emma is a Certified Pilates instructor and is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in health science.

  • Meagan Fleming

    Meagan trained at West Virginia’s Old Opera House Dance Company, Maryland Youth Ballet, and Next Generation Ballet, as well as in Milwaukee Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program. She attended Summer Intensives at Cincinnati Ballet, Texas Ballet Theater, BalletX, and Milwaukee Ballet.

  • Sophie Graham

    Sophie trained with New England Academy of Dance in Connecticut and Joffrey Ballet. She attended Summer Intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell.

    Sophie placed in the Top 12 Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Worcester, Massachusetts, and received Third Place in The Connecticut Classic.

  • Gabriel Hartman

    Gabe trained with Indiana Ballet Theatre and was an A&A Ballet youth company member. He attended Summer Intensives at Milwaukee Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, Boston Ballet, and Joffrey Academy of Dance. He was also a guest performer with Chicago Opera Theatre, Peoria Ballet, and Illinois Ballet Academy.

    Gabe received a scholarship to the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, was a finalist at F.A.M.E. Chicago, is a winner of the Youth Arts Award in Performing Arts (Northwest Indiana Regional Arts Council), and placed in the Top 12 in Senior Classical at the Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Chicago.

    Diego trained at Conservatorio de Danza de Murcia, Robles Ballet School, and Joffrey Ballet (on full scholarship). He attended Summer Intensives on scholarships to Pennsylvania Ballet, Joffrey Academy of Dance, and ArtEMotion at Ballet West.

    Jack trained at Boston Ballet School and was apprentice at Sarasota Ballet. He attended Summer Intensives at Boston Ballet School, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Houston Ballet.

    Jack has dedicated nearly 10 years of service with AIDS Action and Fenway Health, helping those afflicted with HIV to access high-quality health care.

    Alexander trained at The McDonald College of Performing Arts in Australia and Joffrey Ballet Academy in Chicago, as well as in the Houston Ballet Academy’s Pre-Professional Program. He attended Summer Intensives at Dutch National Ballet, Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and Ballet Arizona.

    He was a finalist at Youth America Grand Prix in New York City, and has a National Association of Sports Medicine Elite Master Trainer Certification.

  • Amanda Lewis

    Amanda trained at Natalya’s Turning Pointe in Ohio and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, as well as in Milwaukee Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program. She attended Summer Intensives at American Ballet Theatre, School of American Ballet, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre.

  • Faith Marshall

    Faith trained with Illinois Dance Conservatory and in Milwaukee Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program. She attended Summer Intensives at Ballet Arizona and Milwaukee Ballet.

  • Abigail McGahey

    Abigail trained in the Pennsylvania Academy of Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program. She attended Summer Intensives at Bolshoi Ballet Academy in New York City and was a guest performer with Bryan Koulman Dance Company and Opus 1 Contemporary.

    Abigail received Second Place in Senior Classical at Youth America Grand Prix in the Philadelphia Regional Semi-Finals and competed at the YAGP Finals in New York City. She was also a finalist at Dance Prix de New York.

  • Logan O'Neal

    Logan trained at Metropolitan Ballet Theatre in Georgia and Richmond Ballet in Virginia. He attended Summer Intensives at Nashville Ballet, Orlando Ballet, and Richmond Ballet. He was also a guest performer with Charleston Ballet Theatre, Southeast Alabama Dance Company, and First State Ballet Theatre.

    Logan earned his associate’s degree in biology, graduating summa cum laude, and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in exercise science at the University of Wisconsin in Superior.

    Tiana trained at Center of Dance and Southwest Virginia Ballet. She attended Summer Intensives at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, American Ballet Theatre in Texas, and Cincinnati Ballet. Through the University of South Florida, she studied at Micadanses studio abs studio Harmonic in Paris, France.

    Tiana is pursuing her bachelor’s in fine arts, studying dance and professional writing, at Goucher College in Maryland. She is also a Dancers of Color Coalition member.

    Lucy placed in the Top 12 in Junior Classical and Contemporary at the Youth America Grand Prix Regional Competition; Second Place in Senior Classical at YAGP in the Atlanta Regional; First Place in Senior Contemporary and Third Place in Senior Classical at YAGP in the Winston-Salem Regional. She also competed at the YAGP Finals in New York City.

    Alyssa placed in the Top 12 Senior Contemporary and received Second Place in Senior Classical at Youth America Grand Prix in Chicago, and was Invited to the YAGP Finals in New York City.

    Sophia trained at Charlotte Ballet Academy in North Carolina and in the Pre-Professional Programs of Open Door Studios, School of Ballet Arizona, and Milwaukee Ballet. She attended Summer Intensives at Charlotte Ballet Academy, Bolshoi Ballet, Boston Ballet, Gelsey Kirkland, Arizona Ballet, and Milwaukee Ballet. She was twice named First Prize Winner of Original Work by Open Door Studios Youth Ensemble Choreographic Workshop in North Carolina.

    Sophia serves as an instructor for Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy and the organization’s Relevé community engagement program.

    Sage trained with Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy and in the Pre-Professional Program. He attended Summer Intensives at Ellison Ballet, Houston Ballet, Milwaukee Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, and A&A Ballet.

    Sage was the recipient of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Milwaukee Ballet Friends’ Schommer Lichtner Scholarship. He also received Second Place in Classical at the Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Kansas City, and competed in the World Championships of Irish Dance in Glasgow, Scotland.
