We are thrilled to welcome 22 talented young dancers to the Milwaukee Ballet II (MBII) program for our thrilling Season of Timeless Tales!
Joining us are dancers from eleven different states and six countries including Mexico, Japan, Switzerland, Canada and Australia. Ten dancers are returning MBII from the 2021/22 Season.
Carly Bartel

Carly trained at Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy and in the Pre-Professional Program, as well as at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She attended Summer Intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Ballet West, and Milwaukee Ballet.
Carly was recipient of the Greater Milwaukee Foundation’s Milwaukee Ballet Friends’ Schomer Lichtner Scholarship. This is her second season with Milwaukee Ballet II.
Jacqueline Bertault

Jacqueline trained at School of Ballet Arizona, Scottsdale School of Ballet, Ecole Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower in France, Houston Ballet Academy, and Joffrey Ballet. She attended Summer Intensives at Paris Opera Ballet School, San Francisco Ballet School, and Houston Ballet Academy. She also participated in masterclasses in Prague and workshops in Marseilles, Barcelona, and Cannes. She was a guest performer with Ballet Nice Méditerranée.
Jacqueline is pursuing her degree in psychology, with a global studies minor, at Arizona State University. This is her second season with Milwaukee Ballet II.
Katelyn Cecil

Mila Garza

Mila trained at Joffrey Academy Chicago in their Trainee Program and Conservatory Program, Escuela Superior de Musica y Danza de Monterrey, and Dalirys Valladares Estudio de Danza. She attended Summer Intensives with English National Ballet and Kirov Academy Washington D.C.
Sophie Graham

Sophie trained with New England Academy of Dance in Connecticut and Joffrey Ballet. She attended Summer Intensives at American Ballet Theatre, Boston Ballet, Sarasota Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and Exploring Ballet with Suzanne Farrell.
Sophie placed in the Top 12 Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Worcester, Massachusetts, and received Third Place in The Connecticut Classic. This is her second season with MBII.
Gabriel Hartman

Gabe trained with Indiana Ballet Theatre and was an A&A Ballet youth company member. He attended Summer Intensives at Milwaukee Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Ballet West, Boston Ballet, and Joffrey Academy of Dance. He was also a guest performer with Chicago Opera Theatre, Peoria Ballet, and Illinois Ballet Academy.
Gabe received a scholarship to the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, was a finalist at F.A.M.E. Chicago, is a winner of the Youth Arts Award in Performing Arts (Northwest Indiana Regional Arts Council), and placed in the Top 12 in Senior Classical at the Youth America Grand Prix Semi-Finals in Chicago. This is his second season with MBII.
William Heide

Logan earned his associate’s degree in biology, graduating summa cum laude, and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in exercise science at the University of Wisconsin in Superior. This is his second season with MBII.

Lucy placed in the Top 12 in Junior Classical and Contemporary at the Youth America Grand Prix Regional Competition; Second Place in Senior Classical at YAGP in the Atlanta Regional; First Place in Senior Contemporary and Third Place in Senior Classical at YAGP in the Winston-Salem Regional. She also competed at the YAGP Finals in New York City.

Flynn Stelfox

Jacqueline Sugianto

Jacqueline trained with Canada’s National Ballet School, Evelyn Hart Conservatory, and Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. She danced the role of Marie in the National Ballet of Canada’s Nutcracker twice, and was selected to dance in the opening Ceremony of the 2015 PanAmerican Games.
