Covid-19 Update

Updated: 7/1/20

The safety of our patrons, students, artists and staff is of the utmost importance. Please note these updates around the impact of Covid-19 on our operations.

The following performances were canceled due to the public health emergency:
– Milwaukee Ballet II’s MOMENTUM (March 7 and 14)
PUSH. (March 26-29)
Peter Pan (May 9-17)
– MBSA’s The Giant’s Garden (May 31)

All other performances will proceed as scheduled.

Ticket buyers to Peter Pan have two options:
– Donate the value of your tickets
– Request a refund

To help sustain our operations, your support is vital. Please consider donating the value of your tickets back to our organization.

If you choose to donate, the value of your ticket donation will be applied to our ‘Lift Your Gift’ Match Campaign and will be matched by two generous donors, DOUBLING your impact on our operations.

IF YOU PURCHASED YOUR TICKETS THROUGH MILWAUKEE BALLET OR MARCUS PERFORMING ARTS CENTER BOX OFFICE, use form below to indicate if you would like to donate your tickets or request a refund by July 17. After that date, we will process your request as a donation.

IF YOU PURCHASED YOUR TICKETS ONLINE THROUGH TICKETMASTER, you have until July 10 to donate that value of your tickets. You can use the button below to do so.

If you wish to receive a refund instead, no action is needed on your part. Your refund will automatically be initiated on or around July 13, at which time you will receive a confirmation email from Ticketmaster.

If you have any immediate questions, please contact Box Office Manager Morgan Pankratz via email or call 414-902-2103. The box office is open Monday through Thursday, 10:00am-6:00pm, and Friday, 10:00am-12:00pm. Please be patient as she is experiencing a high influx of messages.

Due to Governor Evers’ March 13 announcement around school closures, we have suspended most in-person classes at all three MBSA locations. Online classes with the Company and MBII Artistic Staff are available through July 3. We will resume summer classes in-person our Baumgartner Center for Dance beginning August 3.

A modified, four-week Summer Intensive is currently scheduled to begin July 6 in our Baumgartner Center for Dance. Please check here for more details.

Our faculty and staff are taking additional precautions in line with CDC recommendations.

Surfaces at Milwaukee Ballet are sanitized daily. Frequently used surfaces including lockers, café tables, barres and doorknobs are been sanitized multiple times a day.

Students will no longer hold hands during class until further notice. Older students, who undertake partnering, should make their own decisions about continuing partnering as normal.

We ask families to take the recommended everyday precautions, as outlined by the CDC to help prevent the spread of illness as listed on the website of the Center for Disease Control.

Parents, please encourage your child to wash their hands before and after classes.

We ask that if your family intends to travel, please monitor the CDC’s travel information. If your family travels to any of the Level 1, 2 or 3 countries listed, please note any CDC recommendations regarding self-quarantine prior to returning to the studio.

If your child is showing signs of illness, please do not send them to ballet classes and rather use the make-up class option when they are well again.

Please visit the website of the Center for Disease Control & Prevention, for further information.
