Updated: 3/20/20

The safety of our patrons, students, artists and staff is of the utmost importance. Please note these updates around the impact of Covid-19 on our operations.

In response to the declared public health emergency, we regret that our performance of PUSH. from March 26 to March 29 at the Marcus Performing Arts Center will not be taking place. Ticket options are here.

Peter Pan (May 9-17) is postponed. Ticket options will be communicated at a later date.

Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy

Due to Governor Evers March 13 announcement around school closures, we are now closing MBSA for the week of March 30 to April 5. To clarify:

  • Spring Break, originally scheduled for the week of April 13, is now being moved forward and extended, starting March 15 and ending March 29.
  • We are closed March 30 to April 5.

We expect to reopen on April 6, but of course will be in touch as the situation develops.

The Spring Break and school closure includes Drop-In Division classes. Adult students that have canceled classes will be automatically refunded to the original tender used for purchase.

Peter Pan Student Cast Auditions are cancelled at this time.

Our teachers and staff are taking additional precautions in line with CDC recommendations.

  • Surfaces at Milwaukee Ballet are sanitized daily. Frequently used surfaces including lockers, café tables, barres, and doorknobs are been sanitized multiple times a day.
  • Students will no longer hold hands during class until further notice. Older students, who undertake partnering, should make their own decisions about continuing partnering as normal.

We ask families to take the recommended everyday precautions, as outlined by the CDC to help prevent the spread of illness as listed on the website of the Center for Disease Control.

Parents, please encourage your child to wash their hands before and after classes.

We ask that if your family intends to travel during spring break, please monitor the CDC’s travel information. If your family travels to any of the Level 1, 2 or 3 countries listed, please note any CDC recommendations regarding self-quarantine prior to returning to the studio.

If your child is showing signs of illness, please do not send them to ballet classes and rather use the make-up class option when they are well again.

Please visit the website of the Center for Disease Control, for further information.
