Milwaukee Ballet has long been recognized for its artistry, its nationally-accredited dance training, and the scope of its innovative community engagement. Now the company is embarking on an exciting expansion which will enable it to increase its impact on the greater Milwaukee community.
A new home, the Baumgartner Center for Dance, named in honor of our lead donors and long-time supporters Donna and Donald Baumgartner, will provide a gathering place where the community can experience Milwaukee Ballet in new ways.
The 52,000 square foot Center will include seven dance studios, allowing us to meet the increasing demands of our Milwaukee Ballet School & Academy, as well as deepening our collaborations with community partners. The Center will house the Ballet’s artistic and administrative staff and will provide a dedicated parking lot for staff and patrons.

Milwaukee Ballet is in the midst of a capital campaign to build the Center, to establish an artistic fund to create new works and extend programming excellence, and to fund a community initiative dedicated to giving back to the city which has supported us so generously.
Construction on the Baumgartner Center for Dance is well underway. We are on track to open our doors at the new Center in September 2019. For more information about the campaign, please contact Carl Lockrem, Development Director, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 414-902-2129.
