Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend student matinees?

Student Matinees are only for elementary through high school student groups, including public, private and home-schooled students. We do not sell tickets to these shows to individuals or non-academic groups.

Does every person need a ticket?

Every person needs a ticket including students, teachers, and chaperones. If you’re not sure how many you’ll need, reserve more than you’ll expect to use. It’s much easier to reduce your ticket count when you receive your final invoice than to add more tickets at a later date.

How long is the performance?

Run times vary by performance, but the show should be around 2 hours with a 20-minute intermission.

Can siblings or family members of students attend?

Children aged 3 and under, family members or other guests cannot attend the student matinees with the school group. The performances are designed for students, teachers, and chaperones only.

How soon should I reserve tickets?

We reserve tickets in the order they are received so the sooner the better! Although we will make every possible attempt to accommodate your seating preference, we can’t make guarantees and may need to split large groups into multiple seating locations.

When can I access the study guide?

We will email you the Study Guide approximately a week before the show. It will also be on this website.

When do we find out where we're seated?

We will email you final seating location within one week of the performance date.

Can we bring lunch for our students?

Yes. Please contact Mia Vilanova mvilanova@marcuscenter.org at the Marcus Center to make arrangements.

How and when do I pay?

Final payments are due two months before the show date. You can pay by check or credit card, with one check per group made payable to Milwaukee Ballet. No refunds or exchanges are allowed once final payment is made.
