National Summer Intensive Audition

Milwaukee Ballet joins several professional ballet schools from across the nation in creating a unified collective for a fourth year. The professional school collective is offering in-person auditions at their facilities, and students who attend a National Summer Intensive Audition will be considered by all schools in the collective for acceptance to their summer intensives. Pre-registration is required for all NSIA auditions at Milwaukee Ballet.
Walk-up and same-day audition registrations will not be accepted.

Ladies should wear a solid color leotard, pink or skin-tone tights, and matching ballet and pointe shoes.
Gentlemen should wear a white shirt with black tights and ballet shoes.

How It Works

Students choose a city from the audition schedule and register with the host school. All auditions are in-person, and the remaining schools will observe the audition via Zoom. Students are required to follow the safety protocol of the school at which they audition. The auditions will be recorded so that the observing schools may review the auditions if needed. Students will have the opportunity to indicate which schools they would like to audition for; however, all schools in the collective may reach out to any students who audition. Students must pre-register and pay the registration fee directly to the host school in the city where they audition. The secondary registration form must be completed in order to be considered by observing schools.

How to register

To register for the NSIA Tour at Milwaukee Ballet, complete all following steps in order.

Step 1: Create an account in Milwaukee Ballet’s new registration portal. Complete all fields and click “Create Account.” If you receive an error that your email is associated with another account, please reset your password to access your account.

Step 2: Then use the direct link for your audition below to access the registration page. Select the quantity of students to register from the drop-down menu and click “Purchase.” Continue through to “Check Out” and complete your order by clicking “Buy Now.”

Step 3: Look for an automatically generated confirmation email that will include a link to an online Audition Registration Form. This form collects additional details about the audition registrant and must be completed at least one week in advance of their audition date.
