Buckle up for a captivating triple bill of contemporary dance from award-winning choreographers who push boundaries. New York City’s Darrell Grand Moultrie presents a world premiere to live music from local band The Vitrolum Republic. This program also features a world premiere from Genesis 2019 winner Aleix Mañé and Extremely Close by Alejandro Cerrudo.

Princess Grace Award Winner Darrell Grand Moultrie recently premiered works at Jacob’s Pillow and Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater at the Lincoln Center. He presents a new work set to live music from The Vitrolum Republic. Spanish choreographer Aleix Mañé was discovered through our international competition, Genesis. He returns with an emotional world premiere exploring the impact of terminal illness.
Alejandro Cerrudo’s Extremely Close premiered at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and has since been seen on stages all around the country. Set to piano scores by Philip Glass and Dustin O’Halloran, this incomparable work combines fascinating choreography and clever set design to pull the audience into a hauntingly beautiful dream.
