Now that you’ve reserved your place with a deposit, you’re officially a student for Milwaukee Ballet’s 2019 Summer Intensive Program. Please review the materials and links below to prepare for the program.

Excursions are now available for purchase in Mindbody. Fees include admission and bus transportation, but students will be responsible for food and any other optional purchases.

Please note the registration deadline for each excursion as some have different deadlines than others. Refunds are not available for excursions as group tickets must be ordered in advance. If you choose not to attend, you may find another student to pay you directly and attend in your place.

  • Six Flags Great America, June 22

    DEPARTURE: 9:00am from Sandburg Hall, arrive at Six Flags Great America around 10:30am
    RETURN: Depart Six Flags Great America at 6:00pm and return to Sandburg Hall around 7:30pm
    COST: $75 (plus cost of food)

    The Midwest’s premier theme park features more than 40 rides (including 12 roller coasters), a water park, spectacular shows and a variety of attractions. You will be responsible for purchasing your own lunch at Six Flags. Don’t forget sunscreen!
    The bus will return to Sandburg after the cafeteria is closed. Students will be responsible for dinner on their own.

    Registration ends June 18, 2019 at 9:00am. 

  • Milwaukee Art Museum & Discovery World, June 29

    DEPARTURE: 10:30am from Sandburg Hall, arrive at Milwaukee Art Museum around 11:00am
    RETURN: Board the bus at approx 3:00pm

    COST: $25 includes both museum admissionsMilwaukee Art Museum: Celebrated art. Dramatic architecture. Scenic gardens. Discover Wisconsin’s premier destination for art and culture. Located on the shore of Lake Michigan in downtown Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Art Museum is a marvel both inside and out.

    Discovery World: Dedicated to helping people positively impact their communities by developing a better understanding of technology and the environment while fostering both innovation and creativity.

    Registration ends June 18, 2019 at 9:00am.

  • Milwaukee County Zoo, July 6

    DEPARTURE: 12pm (noon) from Sandburg Hall, arrive at the Zoo around 12:30pm
    RETURN: Depart the Zoo at 4:30pm and return to Sandburg Hall around 5pm
    COST: $25 (plus cost of special shows or activities if you choose once you arrive)

    Enjoy animals from around the world while strolling through the large wooded beauty of Milwaukee County Zoo.

    Registration ends June 18, 2019 at 9:00am.

  • Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Game, July 14

    DEPARTURE: 11:30am from Sandburg Hall, arrive at Miller Park around 12noon
    RETURN: Depart Miller Park at the end of the game and arrive at Sandburg 30 minutes later
    COST: $50 (plus cost of food during the game)The game between the Milwaukee Brewers and the San Francisco Giants will start at 1:10pm. The game is played rain or shine with the assistance of Miller Park’s retractable roof.Registration ends July 1, 2019 at 9:00am. 
  • Noah's Ark Water Park, July 20

    DEPARTURE: 8am from Sandburg Hall, arrive at Noah’s Ark around 10:30am
    RETURN: Depart Noah’s Ark at 5pm and arrive at Sandburg Hall around 7:30pm
    COST: $85 (plus cost of food during the day)

    Noah’s Ark is located in Wisconsin Dells and is America’s Largest Waterpark. They have dozens of waterslides and tube slides, wave pools, raft rides, mini-golf, and more. The bus ride is about 2½ hours long. You will need to plan for lunch at the park. Coin lockers are available for rent to keep money, shoes, etc. safe at Noah’s Ark. Bring plenty of sunscreen, towel, and a change of clothes for the ride home.

    The Sandburg cafeteria will be closed upon return to Milwaukee. Students will be responsible for their own dinner.
