Milwaukee Ballet is proud to dedicate the 2010 production of The Nutcracker in memory of Jack Stein. Founder of Stein Gardens and Gifts, Jack was a fervent supporter of Milwaukee Ballet, as well as the city’s arts community. In 1998, The Joan, Jack, and Victor Stein Foundation donated $1 million to Milwaukee Ballet to create a brand new Nutcracker. Since then, Milwaukee Ballet’s annual performance of The Nutcracker has become the city’s magical holiday tradition. This season, we’re excited to deepen our partnership with Stein Gardens and Gifts.

AngelNew this year, Stein Gardens and Gifts will be contributing a percentage of sales from Nutcracker-themed merchandise to help initiate The Stein Angels Program. The Stein Angels Program evolved from Jack Stein’s belief that every child should be able to enjoy The Nutcracker. This new program is an integral part of Milwaukee Ballet’s Education Department, which makes it possible for school children in our community to attend a performance of The Nutcracker. This holiday season, consider making a gift to the Angels Program in honor of a friend or loved one. Your $10 donation to the Angels Program sends one child to The Nutcracker. For your support, you will also receive an angel ornament provided by Stein Gardens and Gifts. Click here to donate online.
